Striving to work with you to create an enhanced environment for your business, our design service includes creating bespoke furniture, customised to the needs of your individual space. Reception desks, retail displays, boardroom furniture, AV installations… we help you make a distinctive statement about your business.

Arrange

We can design, plan and specify for any interior, or take a project right through to a turnkey installation. You decide. Each project is run by one of our directors: your main point of contact throughout. You will have the opportunity to call on their range of experience and expertise depending on the level of input you require into your scheme.

Who we are

Formed in 2004 Oblong Furniture started out as a sister company to Arc Design who specialised in the design and production of custom furniture for the contract market.

In 2007 Oblong and Arc Design merged all of the operational activity into Oblong. The merged business allowed Oblong to concentrate all efforts into being a specialist in the sourcing, design, procurement and installation of standard and bespoke furniture for our clients within the commercial and leisure sectors.

In 2020 Oblong became a wholly owned part of Corporate Workspace Ltd. Corporate Workspace and Oblong have always had a strong relationship going back 20 years and as an established supplier, primarily in the office sector, Corporate Workspace are well placed to move Oblong forward.

All business functions have transferred to the Corporate Workspace premises in central Leeds. Stuart Silverman will remain involved in the business on a minor consultative basis for the foreseeable future, but all correspondence and communication should be addressed primarily to Corporate Workspace whose main point of contact will be Simon Thrussell, managing director.

Oblong’s core competence remains the same and our combined knowledge and flexibility in these areas has provided us with a firm footing to work through these tough economic times and has enabled us to provide our clients with the products and personal service on which we continue to pride ourselves.

Your main point if contact will be Simon Thrussell. Simon brings over 30 years’ experience delivering design-led interiors and similar solutions. A qualified designer, Simon works closely with the design community and its clients to deliver efficient, inspiring environments.
